New attractions that were added for 2019 include a forest of lighted holiday trees set to music and a disco-themed strobe light in the Wilds of Africa tunnel. It’s been a long-known fact that the Christmas tree that stands in the middle of the skating rink at the Galleria Dallas is the tallest indoor tree. With more than a million lights and 10,000 ornaments, Illumination Celebration is set to music, and on select dates, free shows will feature Missile Toes, an ice-skating Santa who shoots sparks from his skates and even does backflips.
Holiday at the Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum’s annual 12 Days of Christmas display is back for another year. Enjoy a stroll through the park and view 12-glass encased gazebos that each show a scene from the beloved Christmas carol. Each gazebo is decorated in Victorian-style décor with imaginative animals and characters that move to festive music. During the evening, displays of lights light up the gardens while music plays. Walkthrough the Christmas Village where there are more than a dozen 16 -to-19-foot structures that you can enter. The DeGolyer House exhibit theme this year is Chriskindlmarket Treasures, with each room featuring Nativities, angels, nutcrackers, and other items you would find at a European Christmas market.
Snowday in the Plaza at Preston Park
This immersive and imaginative display located in the Plaza at Preston Center is the perfect spot to take lots of photos. Navigate your way through an imaginative wonderland, full of festive photo ops, enchanted rooms, and interactive spaces, while relieving some of your most nostalgic memories.
Highland Park Christmas Light Tour
Snuggle up with your family and enjoy a carriage ride through the Highland Park neighborhood. Many of these homes are professionally decorated from top to bottom with lights and displays, making it one of the best neighborhoods to tour.
As you pull up to the entrance, your breath will be taken away as you’re met with 4 million twinkling lights lighting your way down a two-mile path.
